CQQ is good people. I think I pissed him off enough to where he won't miss a day of setting his lineup for the rest of the year :coco2:

Ok, I think enough people have responded that i can confidently say we have locked in these settings
Fee:$150 ($200 led votes, but more people suggested 100 or 150. I'm thinking $200 for the first two seasons or $150/year)
Teams: 20 (we won't force it though, but I think we will be able to find 20)
Scoring: H2H
Draft: Snake
Website: CBS (with our size and league requirements we won't have a lot of choices)
Minor League spots: 10
**If we do 5x5
Hitting Cats: R-NSB-HR-RBI-OPS
OPS-OBP-TB all got strong support, if we did a 5x5 I think it would be above, we could talk about a 6x6
Pitching cats: QS-NS+H-WHIP-K/9-ERA
Holds got strong support and with the mechanics of a 20 team league I think you can't have saves as its own category. If we stay 5x5 then I think it needs to be Saves plus holds. It hasn't been determined if you can do net saves plus net holds.
In the scoring section if we wanted to go 6x6,I like what the "mans league" of the ESPN fantasy baseball podcast uses, except use saves+holds(I don't like saves as its own cat when 30-40% of teams will be forced to punt the cat). IP is an interesting one to use and adds some level of strategy. Like in real life the longer your starters go the better.

Nice! I am all for the 6x6 that you suggested. I think it sounds like fun. I would be fine with the 5x5 too though if others didn't want the 6x6.

Not sure if it will work, but maybe razzball has something. I think they have 2014 at least.
Also, that is the best feature of real time sports. I love their "top players" page.

We would need at least a 25 IP per week

I'll check it out. Thanks. Just need some numbers to prove a point to some tard giving advice to drop CarGo back into the draft pool in an 8 man keeper.

Yeah, I think a 25-30 minimum for sure just to make sure someone doesn't throw 1 inning and take ERA, WHIP, and K/9. After that strategy would come into play with an IP category.

Thanks Barry.
I prefer 30 innings (as a compromise to 25 vs. 35 IP) but I wont dig my heels in over it if everyone else wants 25. A few other questions:
How would we define which players could be slotted as minor leaguers? You couldn't just use player designation because so many come and go so often. We usually use an AB threshold for hitters and a combination of IP or Games Played for pitchers (whichever occurs first). Once the threshold has been passed the player cannot be put in a minor league lineup spot. There should also be a rule that players with no MLB time cannot be stashed in active/bench/IR slots.
Then there's the position eligibility question. TDBL always used 5/10 for in-season and season-to-season.
Did we ever decide on positions? CI and MI are usually used in dynasty leagues but this one would probably be deep enough to not require it. The other question would be the number of utility and injured reserve spots. Since the player pool will be much more depleted I would say 3 IR spots but only 5 bench spots. 1 utility spot seems reasonable to me.
One last thing: I know y'all like the live scoring of CBS, but Fantrax makes the administration 10 times easier and you'd never need to add players that are not in the database. Plus you could trade draft picks for the rookie draft each year and the price is lower. Oh and there's that lineup locking issue that would go away. I've gotten used to the scoring.
I'll bring up more as I think of it.

Would we use the MLB standard of 130 at bats or 50 IP to qualify as Major Leaguer?

Interested. Just filled out the survey
ETA: Fine with either slow draft or auction. The more minor league roster spots the better.

Plus, strongly opposed to any cap on waiver acquisitions
