I have been really unsure about how to proceed with JJ after the injury last week. I am 2-3 and actually also have AJ Brown and Amon-Ra St. Brown so I’m mostly fine at WR. The problem is my RBs have been terrible. I picked up Achane after his week 2 performance but now he’s on IR as well. Other than him, my “best” two RBs are Rhamondre Stevenson and Dameon Pierce. So I reached out to the guy who is 5-0 in our league and who might be able to sustain losing a player or two while waiting out to see if/when JJ will return. It’s a gamble on my part, I know, but I can’t afford to wait around and drop to 2-7 or 3-6 and hope that JJ and Achane both come back solid.

So after some back and forth, we landed on a trade. I’m giving up JJ and Pierce for Joe Mixon and Deandre Hopkins. Do y’all think it’s a fair trade? Getting some chatter from the group text..

I think it’s close.. but just depends on the unknown outcome of JJs late season.

I’ll say Pierce has been a letdown, but so much volume. I have a gut feeling he has a much better second half of fantasy season.

Who does he have at WR that's one step above Hopkins? Maybe try to land that WR first then fall back to this deal. It's really just how much risk are you willing to take. Some people want to risk riding it out with JJ while others want to get production now. I got JJ for Zay Flowers and Jerome Ford because the 2-3 owner with JJ needed points now.

That’s tough. I think it really depends on how long Jefferson is out which nobody really knows. If you were record were better you could probably try to piece something together to get you bye a couple weeks. You almost have to take this trade to get the RB points. Mixon is a good back and hoping Cincy picks it up the 2nd half of the season.

I’d rather wait it out than take that trade

I think you can do better than that. I'd even rather just do JJ for Mixon and keep Pierce. If Pierce and Rhamondre are your best 2 RBs you need another without giving 1 up. RB injuries are too common

Personally I have joe mixon in one of my 2 leagues and I can't find anyone to take him off my hands. He's got he name, offense, and touches but for some reason it never clicks like i need it to

That’s pretty gross. I think Hopkins is going to heavily disappoint you more weeks than not. Once Pierce line is back healthy I think he and mixon will be pretty close with maybe even a slight lean to Pierce. Pierce has been getting absolutely mugged from all sides in the backfield with this patchwork like. I wouldn’t do it.
