And we know Shanahan has been happy with the results, Elijah would have lost some workload or been benched completely if Shanahan was unhappy

Per Matt berry, Jeff Wilson played 18 snaps to Mitchell’s 22 through the first three quarters last night before the game got out of hand. 32% snaps overall his first game back.

Mostert getting hurt and Sermon being a bust afforded Mitchell a lot of run. Not out of the shannahan woods yet

49ers running back Elijah Mitchell played a major role in Monday night’s 31-10 win over the Rams, but he maynot be available to follow up on that performance against the Jaguars this weekend.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters on Tuesday that Mitchell fractured a finger during the victory. He’s having a surgical procedure to address the injury and Shanahan said he’s hopeful that Mitchell will be able to play through the injury this week.

Mitchell carried the ball 27 times for 91 yards for the 49ers on Monday night. The sixth-round pick has 116 carries for 560 yards and three touchdowns on the season.

Jeff Wilson carried the ball 10 times as the No. 2 back on Monday and wide receiver Deebo Samuel ran it five times for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Wasn’t Jeff available Week 9? But yea I could see Elijah losing time if Shanahan is unhappy with the efficiency this week - under 4 ypc is much worse than previous weeks

I’m sure you’d downplay a 33 touch effort smh

Elijah Mitchell is this year's James Robinson

That's an insult to Robinson.

Elijah Mitchell's 4 100-yard rushing games this season is the most by a #49ers' rookie rusher since 1961.
