How about they make a lottery for the picks NBA style if they are worried about people tanking? Would be a lot less sketch.

This is what my keeper league does.

understand that having all owners field a complete team every week is paramount for league quality and equality, but late scratches are part of the dynamics of fantasy football; sometimes you take calculated risks involving players with questionable designations going into game day, especially later contests.

This is exactly why this is a bad rule. I have a stud playing Sunday night or Monday that is questionable, might as well roll him out there without a care, because if he's a late scratch he'll get automatically replaced. That takes away a big part of start/sit decisions.

It also seems like this rule was not enforced until now, and is being retroactively enforced now when it's noticed that it could impact the draft. Overall, this is just a bad rule and a bad situation.

I understand what you're saying about working out how the league works in its first year, but it sounds more like you're just changing things on a whim and cramming it down the league's throat. You also seem to have lost credibility with the league after the Hightower debacle, so you must understand why people are upset about this.

Bottom line is that this is a terrible rule; however, if it was enforced from day 1 it would just be part of the league. The fact that it's just being enforced now is ridiculous and should not be done.

For future reference, you should never make a rule change in the middle of a season unless the rest of the league unanimously agrees to it. Otherwise, suggest changes for future seasons to be voted on now and implemented for the next season.

Either that or making some sort of separate penalty for finishing last, even if it is just some token thing, would be better than potentially altering results of the league.

Well said..This is spot on with my issues with it all.

Problems arise, I get that. My biggest issue is the actions after. There were 2 separate instances (not including this one) that had to be brought to a vote. In both instances the Commish came out with a cocky arse attitude of this is the way we are doing it and if you don't like it...frick you. In both instances the vote went against what the Commish wanted.

So you can see the frustration with this when he acts the exact same way. Then add to that, I can't wrap my head around how this is even an issue to begin with.

In the Hightower case enough bitching was done that it had to go to a league vote. He was then forced to do the right thing and place him in FA.

Second case was simply him trying to put it back in the faces of the people for the Hightower situation, but he failed again.

Just like if this were to go to a league vote it was almost unanimously pass (with the exception of his few yes-men).

There is zero credibility among commissioners here. Yet, instead of trying to fix the problem, it is "if you don't like it frick you. Leave."

Save me a spot in your league next year.

A Commish shouldn't do shite but input the stuff into the computer at the beginning of the year. Literally all they should be there for is the computer work. Not to try to make up rules, change rosters, remind people to set their rosters, etc during the season.

The only way it works is because we have people wanting to get in the league, you have to go to the back of the waiting list

I'm actually ok with a commish reminding people to set their lineups as long is it blanketed to the entire league and not just sent to one person. Especially in situations when there is a game in England early in the AM, or sending a blast reminder on Thanksgiving because of all the games and people's focus being elsewhere, etc. But all of that should be done prior to kick off and only if done regularly and the reminder sent to the entire league.

This is the 2nd issue on this board this season about you doing questionable stuff as commish Can you comment on your inconsistencies and shady dealings

Sure I'll comment- Hold that tiger is just whining about shite to start drama and stir the pot. He didn't get his way, he left the league, and now he's just venting on a message board.

Nothing to see here- a sour player lashing out. Don't like the settings/rules, go start your own league.

If he's been being completely honest with how things have been playing out, then you are the one that has not been coming out very good looking in all of this, not him. Just my opinion.

Is this not the league with the really shady Hightower drop/re-add situation?

Is he being dishonest about having a late scratch in an earlier week that was not edited, meanwhile an edit was done recently?

Just curious.

It is.

Happened week 1. There is also the incident that happened in week 10 with the second seeded team. So there are for sure 2 cases of it not being done.

No...two people left the league because of your attitude of I do whatever the frick I want and everybody else has to deal with it.

Don't like the settings/rules, go start your own league

And this is the constant attitude. My way or get the frick out. Ever since Hightower he's been on a mission to prove he can do whatever he wants, since he acted the complete arse and it blew back up in his face.

Instead of trying to correctly run the league he's trying to flex his muscle and gain back the power.

Exactly- this is pathetic. It's fantasy football man. Chill out. It's our first year of the dynasty and we are trying to insure competitive play each week so we are using Vermiliontiger's rule. This perticular owner doesn't trust us and he left the league. End of story.
