That's because the baseballs are juicier than a Roul's burger.

Low risk high reward with and has another year of control. Not sure why this move would be confusing. I'm surprised he made it to the Reds.

He's gotta be going to the shitty bullpen. There isn't any room in the Reds rotation for him.

Yea but still owed $9 million to next year. That's alot for a long relief guy.

Naw. His salary this year is 9 mill. Reds only owe 2.815 of that. He goes to arbitration again next year. Reds could easily non-tender him if they don't like what they see.

They're not obligated to tender him for next season.

The Braves promoted Anderson from Double-A Mississippi to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, Gabe Burns of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Analysis:The Braves are teeming with impressive young arms in the upper levels of their minor-league system, and Anderson may be the most impressive of the lot. He experienced little resistance from Southern League competition during his time with Mississippi, logging a 2.68 ERA and striking out 147 across 111 innings. The 21-year-old will face a much stiffer test while making the jump to Triple-A, where offensive production has been on the rise this season thanks in part the incorporation of the same baseball being used in the big leagues. If Anderson acquits himself well in the heightened offensive environment, he could earn a callup to Atlanta in September, though a bullpen role would likely await him in that scenario.

FINALLY.

REDS FANS: We moved Scooter and Puig to get VanMeter and Ervin more playing time. Our future looks bright.

KRALL AND BELL: Lol. Naw. We traded them to get Peraza playing time. Oh, and we're calling up another OF to muddy up development even more.

O'Grady is 27 but he's got 27HRs and 16SB with a .913OPS. I'll take a chance on those numbers if he can get playing time.

That's a pretty fair assessment.

Don't count on it. He's last on the list of current OFs:

Senzel
Winker
VanMeter
Ervin
Aquino
O'Grady

However, with Dietrich on the IL now, he could see some time at 1B when Votto gets his days off.

Joey Cantillo struck out seven and walked three over six no-hit, shutout innings in his most recent start Sunday for Low-A Fort Wayne.

Analysis:According to Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, Cantillo was named the Midwest League's pitcher of the week for his efforts, the third time this season he's received the award. The 19-year-old lefty owns a league-leading 1.93 ERA to go with an 0.87 WHIP and 128:27 K:BB across 98 frames with Fort Wayne this season.

With all the talk about how bad Baltimore is, people seem to forget that Detroit is even worse.
