Jesus Sanchez homered twice and went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs scored to lead Triple-A New Orleans to a 10-6 triumph over Salt Lake at Smith's Ballpark.
Oh.... and Isan Diaz went yard

Two seasons ago, they were aggressively approached about right-hander Michael Fulmer, who was coming off an AL Rookie of the Year Award in 2016 and was the Tigers' All-Star representative in 2017. In what looms as the biggest mistake of their rebuilding process, the team rebuffed an offer for Fulmer involving two young players who are now among the best in baseball: According to multiple persons with knowledge of the talks, the Cubs offered shortstop Javier Baez as part of a three-player package and the Astros offered third baseman Alex Bregman for Fulmer and lefty reliever Justin Wilson.

I wish Levi kelly somehow would have made it to BR
They say bullpen is his destination, but can’t deny his statistical output this year

Craig Mish of FNTSY Radio reports that the Marlins are expected to promote top prospect Isan Diaz.
Marlins' manager Don Mattingly had said last week that he expected Diaz to be promoted prior to September, and it looks like that promotion is imminent. The 23-year-old second baseman is slashing .305/.395/.578 with 26 homers, 70 RBI and five stolen bases in 102 games at Triple-A New Orleans this season and has nothing left to prove at that level.

Fulmer would have won a CY by now if they had traded him to the Astros.

IDK
Not saying the report is false, OK maybe I am, but I don't think the Astros would trade for a guy that doesn't miss many bats with his fastball, while giving up Alex Bregman in the process.

Well if you are gonna fap to that, then I'm gonna fap to some Jaylin Davis ridiculousness, who is teabagging pitchers even more since the trade last week.
quote:
25-year old Jaylin Davis is having a breakout season, posting a career high 25 home runs before the trade deadline. Davis was batting .331/.405/.708 in Triple-A Rochester before the trade deadline, his first time with a batting average sitting above .300 (including a .274 Double-A batting average in the first half of the season). Obviously, Davis’ calling card is in his power, but has a streaky bat for contact. He as average speed, but with a quick first step. A former center fielder, he has good range in the corner, and an arm that has strength in it but not much accuracy. Davis got a very hot start with the River Cats, going 7-for-10 with three doubles, two home runs, eight RBI, and has an insane .700/.769/1.600 batting line over his first three games.
