Ok, not too bad here all things considered. Back end rotation types but still get guys out consistently

Stammen - 2.96
Shark - 3.27
Davies - 2.43
Bassitt - 3.27
Lyles - 3.09

Now if you used that Spring Training evaluator on baseball reference it would read out like 4.2

Yimi Garcia - 4.57
Wainwright - 4.82
Dereck Rodgriguez - 4.81
Beede x2 - 13.50
Hartlieb x2 - 15.00
Archer - 5.75
Richard Rodriguez - 5.14
Kingham - 8.28
Mcrae- 6.00
Yu - 5.40

When I read shite like this, I am like this:

If it makes you feel any better, I still don't know what FIP and wOBA mean.

I know that FIP means fielding independent pitching (I think) But I have no idea how it is calculated or what it actually tells you.

I have never heard the term wOBA until just now when you wrote it.

Instead of simple 1's and 0's when calculating OBP, it adjusts it by the specific outcome. As in a homerun would have the highest factor you would multiply by.

It lets you determine if a pitcher is good or bad when you take the defense behind him out of the equation. So a pitcher on the Orioles might have a 5.5 ERA, but a FIP of 4.5 which means assuming league avg defense he's 1 run better than what he's showing on a really bad team.

you need to differentiate yourself from Swamie some other way than league standings for me to notice a difference between you two.

Corbin Martin needs to be sent back down to AAA. He has electric stuff but he doesn't know how to use it yet.

Decided to check out the DAT thread on MSB to see what they had to say about Corbin...those guys are idiots, clueless about baseball. Wow.

They're looking at a single game as if it has the consequences of a football game. Bashing Luhnow for roster decisions. It's 162 games and the Astros are the best team in baseball...they're historically good over the last 4-5 years...and they won the game last night.

Yeah, Dat is bad now unfortunately. It's like the rant on a Saturday during football season - the ones that know the least are the ones that take over the thread.

Fans of shitty teams are certainly more tolerable in most cases.
