I haven't dug too deep but while looking through to see if this has happened before I could tell Marle easily made his IP limit most weeks.

There are the occasional weeks where due to MLB scheduling, he fell short or close to it.

once in a blue moon all 5 of his SP were on a 1 start week or he had an injury.

I was a little drunk last night so I probably focused on shite talking more than I should have...but I don't think anyone is compromising the league with how they manage their team.

We are in a very large league with short benches and dick available on the WW. A premium is placed on the future for the teams not in the playoff hunt....there will be weeks where someone doesn't meet IP or reach 150 ABs but don't see the need to do so.

I am fine with that

Im aware when im close to IP. Ive had some injuries this year to my staff. At one point I didn't want to compromise my roster to make moves to chase that dumb fricking stat either. There are people that don't even know what is going on.

Im top ten in 7 of 12 categories league-wide. Im on the site multiple times a day. Im on my MiLB site multiple times a day. Sometimes it just isnt worth it to chase that stat.

Damn, LE. You're better than that.

Against me in Week 7? That is funny.

It's not chasing a dumb stat we are concerned about. It's meeting a basic requirement that is pretty much universally agreed on in the league. We don't care if you lose it every week.

Barry...I only have 4 starts this week due to my pitchers all pitching on Saturday and Sunday.

I guess I HAVE to drop someone from my team to meet the Min IP and keep you happy?

I think, all joking aside, I am or LE is on crazy pills.

Dylan Cease threw six scoreless innings for Double-A Birmingham on Saturday, striking out nine while allowing one hit and no walks.

Analysis:Cease has been rolling for the Barons. He hasn't allowed a run in 23 consecutive innings and is 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA over his last six starts.

Michael Kopech allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out nine with no walks over seven innings for Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Analysis:Kopech has commanded his fastball much better of late, walking just four batters over his last 31 innings, which has allowed him to get deeper into games. White Sox player development director Chris Getz told Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune that Kopech has grown confident in his changeup while adding there's a chance his callup "happens very soon."

Rather than make the trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco with his teammates, Altuve will instead head back to Houston to meet with team doctors for further evaluation. It's uncertain how much progress Altuve has made in his recovery from the sore right knee since landing on the 10-day disabled list a week earlier, but more clarity on that front should be available in the next day or two.

Yes, or we can go back to having minimum SP spots. IP requirements was used in lieu.

I think you just lose the pitching cats...there's a penalty in place.

Might have to if the rules are going to be bent.

Exactly...I don't think we need to over regulate the league.

(I intend on making the IP requirements this week FWIW)

We're on the same page, and, basically, over regulation is the only thing I've argued against.

The Cardinals are making clear that Tyler O’Neill’s groin injury is not a baseball injury, not a muscular injury. Instead, it’s a condition they’re being vague about because of its sensitive nature. They expect O’Neill, who underwent treatment today, back in 10 days. #STLCards? ?
