Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) will be sidelined until the second half of the season.
Ryu was placed on the disabled list Thursday afternoon after suffering a significant left groin strain in the second inning of his start Wednesday night against the Diamondbacks. He actually tore the muscle completely off the bone. It's awful news for the Dodgers, as Ryu was 3-0 with a 2.12 ERA and 0.88 WHIP through 29 2/3 innings (six starts) this season. Walker Buehler is now locked into a rotation spot in Los Angeles, probably until he reaches his innings limit.

I was genuinely upset that CQQ beat me to Zach Davies of all people, but I was trying to wait for Montgomery to hit the DL. Should have sacrificed someone.
