According to the rules, Earl should have all stats for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday revoked. Rules are rules, and I will make the adjustments.
Sidenote 1: I never looked to see who Earl was playing last week before reading this thread, but it didn't take long for me to come up with a logical guess after reading some of these comments.
Sidenote 2: This is way less severe than what Papz did, btw. Earl gained no competitive advantage last week by having Hoskins in a MLB slot. Papz certainly gained competitive advantage by his actions.

I'm not on the committee or else I would make my suggestion as to penalty. Since you said this, I'll say my thoughts on penalty now.
Dude should be forced to play with one less MiLB slot than the rest of the league for 12 months. That would be my penalty and appropriate in my eyes.

I don't know who earl played. I actually was looking at his team an hour after his trade was executed, noted Hoskins was in there, said "ok, these guys get sensitive when anyone brings up this rule, let me wait it out and give him a chance to correct it". I checked back whenever, noticed it, said something

Personally I think there should be a one day grace period for any illegal roster violations that don't affect the active starting lineup. Whether it's a player coming off the DL, a minor leaguer hitting his AB or IP, or a minor leaguer in the active lineup like this. Obviously something like a trade going through and giving a team two active 1B would be a blatant violation that should cause that day's stats to be thrown out. Although I think Fantrax might catch that one without our interference.
Not necessarily knighting for Earl here, because he knows the rules, but that trade went through 15 minutes before games started on a Friday evening, that's not a lot of time to jump on and make changes before games start and players lock in. We all have jobs and lives outside of fantasy baseball, so there should be a slight margin for error on infractions that don't give a competitive advantage.
Day 2 though, you should have had a chance to correct your lineup before games start.

I had a trade out that I canceled specifically so it wouldn't mess up my roster if it was accepted while I was asleep as I'm 7 hours ahead, I guess my lineup changed when i canceled. It was squared up all day yesterday.
