First time in a PPR league, did I overestimate the value of receptions?

0.5 pt PPR

I passed up on some RBs that get more yardage for guys who catch the ball a bit more. I also passed up on some deep threat WRs in favor of guys who get a lot of catches.

12 Teams

QB: Deshaun Watson
RB: Miles Sanders
RB: Devin Singletary
WR: Michael Thomas
WR: Adam Thielen
TE: Evan Engram
FLEX: Cooper Kupp
D/ST: Bears
K: Rodrigo Blankenship

RB: D’andre Swift
RB: Phillip Lindsay
QB: Josh Allen
WR: Mecole Hardman
WR: Robby Anderson
RB: Boston Scott
WR: Paris Campbell

Your first two picks are good, then it gets tricky. Shoukd have picked another RB in lieu of Thielen/Kupp/Watson.

You’re probably right.

Draft order:

1. Thomas
2. Sanders
3. Thielen
4. Watson
5. Kupp
6. Swift
7. Engram
8. Singletary

I think the biggest wild card is Swift. He’s a rookie so you’re never sure what you’ll get but at the same time he’s a perfect RB type for PPR.

I had Singletary last year. He was awesome. I thought 8th round was a steal.

No way. An injury to a Chiefs WR would put him in a really nice spot. He also gets special teams yards.

Solid squad. Anderson is the only one I would drop for another RB lotto ticket. Your RBs honestly aren't that bad. I really love the Scott stash this year.

Which RBs are on the wire?

You don't spend any time on the SECr. Dudes not going to drop any UGA players.

Nah I’m 100% serious. Why would I drop a young WR on the best offense in the NFL? Especially when he returns kicks and punts?

Bc you have 5 WRs that are better, you’re banking on 1. An injury and 2. Those targets just don’t do to kelce or watkins or CEH

Your WRs are fine but your RB aren’t. You should be applying your handcuff theory to RBs

Like if CEH gets hurt for the year tonight Darrel Williams becomes a league winner. And he’s just sitting out there and we’re here talking bout mercole hard man

Do you get point for return yardage? Most league don’t have that and actual return TDs are so rare and not really something you should care about when drafting.

Yes. 1 point for every 25 yards of return yardage.

This all the way.

You save lotto tickets for the bench but not at the expense of weakening another position.

Not to mention, Hardeman had Tyreek hurt for several weeks last season and never received more than 6 targets or caught more than 4 passes in any of those games.

3rd down backs on bad teams are my jam in ppr. Guys like Duke Johnson and Theo riddick would always be around at the end of drafts, so I would load up on volume heavyWR’s early unless you have a draft position to catch one of the top 3 PPR RB’s. Those late round backs would throw up 15 points in the 2nd half of games just dink and dunking
