Experiences with no K and/or DS/T

We’re thinking of canning one or both for a 10 team PPR league.
What are your experiences with it? Which of the two makes more sense to get rid of if we were to replace only one for a flex?

We have a crazy secondary league we do that hasn’t had a kicker for a couple years now. It’s fine, but I wouldn’t replace it with another flex, just take it out on it’s own. Too much variance you’re adding back in with an additional flex.

I didn't like it. Really depletes the waiver wire so you end up kind of stuck with who you've got by midseason

Thought this would be the case. Like previous post said... best way may be just to remove and not replace K with anything.

Have never done it, but don't like it. Kicking and defense are part of the game. The idea of fantasy is to own your own NFL team. No NFL team I have ever heard of went to a game without a kicker or a defense, though I have seen a few games where the kicker or defense didn't appear to show up.

Does your fantasy league include punters and offensive linemen too?

In my main league we got rid of kickers 3 years ago. No one has missed them.

I’ve been trying to combine the position for years in my league but no dice. Essentially, the kicker would become part of Special Teams which it already is in the NFL.
So if you grab Baltimore def, you get Tucker. If Tucker gets hurt, you get whoever fills in for him.
If someone tries it, let me know how it goes.
