goal line carries are not what necessarily makes a rb good.

50-70 yards and 1-2 TDs each week makes a good RB in fantasy

Good luck finding a RB that scores 16-32 TDs this year. And if you do find him, please let me know; I want that guy.

I actually plan on going WR with my first 2, possibly 3 picks as well. If I can end up with Gio & Ellington as my starting RBs I'd be happy as hell. I'm in a 12 team PPR so it may be a little tougher but, we'll see.

Yeah a 12 team may be a little more difficult to get that outcome. If you go 3 WRs you'll probably get one of the 2 and then like a Gerhart, Jennings caliber RB2.

You're team is good and obviously your wrs are awesome, but even in ppr your rbs are weak. The only one who will be getting goal line carries is Gerhart and he plays for Jacksonville

So if Jeremy Hill goes for 60 yards and a TD for 12 point, but Gio Bernard goes for 40 yards and 6 catches for 50 yards for 15 points, Hill has more value?

right....

I didn't realize this was a one point per reception league? I've never played in a league with those rules. Normally I've played in .25 or .5 per reception.

My bad.

I'm with you on the 3 WR front, man. Even in non-PPR, 3 stud WR's trumps a 6-10 ranked, 10-15 ranked RB. IMO. Give me two top 5 WRs over a 6-10 ranked RB anyday, in any format.

This. I'm going 9/10 in a historic RB and QB heavy PPR league. I plan on going DT (hopefully he's there. It's possible, as I know the top 4 will go, plus Lacy, plus Mega. Guy in front of me says he's taking whatever rb is left from his top 8. Hopefully Graham goes and leaves me DT).

2nd round I'm torn between Marshall, Julio or AJ. I'm inclined to go Julio for the crazy upside, so I'll have a safe and an upside with risk pick. 3rd I'll go Cobb, Brown, Nelson or Garcon. I'm hoping for Ellington in 4th, and Vereen in the 5th, though that's unlikely. I'll settle for Jennings or Gerhart or Stacy etc.

If you have 3 top wr, all you need are a couple of mid round rbs who can put up 10 per week. That's not too hard if they get 3-4 catches a week.

Agree completely. Although for me personally I want 2 of these 3 WR with my first 2 picks:

Green/Dez/Marshall

You get safe AND upside with all 3 of them.

Why would you take a risk with the always injured julio, when you can get Marshall or AJ, two guys who will produce the same numbers most likely and have a history of being consistent with their scoring and lack of injuries.

Julio could be "healthy" all year, and every game he's going to have a P by his name and he'll miss practices b/c of a nagging hamstring or ankle and he'll play most games, but might not always finish them.

There's no worries with AJ or Marshall. THey are worry free and stay in your lineup every week.

Good points. I'm just queer for Julio. I've drafted him the past two seasons. I think that if he stays healthy, he can shatter the numbers of everyone else. Dude was on track for about 120 catches and nearly 2000 yards.

I also love Marshall though and rode him to two c/ships last year, despite Julio. The only one I'm not crazy about is Dez. I've had him a few times, and it's always the same - he's great, will have a huge season etc. Then, he plays pretty well, and gives you some huge games, but he also just disappears at times. Hate him.

Perhaps Marshall or AJ in the 2nd then Roddy later. I've also started wondering if Julio's production last year was the result of Roddy being useless.

Thanks for making me see the light.
