Ok, just added Dwyer. I will wait until Sunday morning and hope to hear good news.

Dwyer knows the offense and Arians brought him there for a reason.
I think he'll be a decent fill in if Ellington is out

Well I think i'm going to roll the dice with Pierre Thomas as my other RB this week. It's a PPR league so not the worst thing in the world. Have Vereen as my other starter. Still hate to see my top back go out so early. Good thing I am loaded at WR with Mega, DT88 and Cobb

Dwyer is not good. Neither is Taylor.

I agree, I picked him up but pray I don't have to play him.

Neither of them are good, but somebody has to run the ball right?
Arians likes big backs and if Dwyer turns into a 3 down back then I'll take it. He doesn't have to be "good" to score fantasy points

On #Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot), who had an MRI last night: First prescription is rest. He’s hopeful. Still a chance he plays on MNF

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports there's still a "chance" Andre Ellington (foot) plays in Monday night's Week 1 opener against the Chargers.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Ellington's foot injury is a muscle issue, while Rapoport adds Ellington has been prescribed rest. It's not believed that Ellington will need surgery. Foot injuries are tricky, especially when it comes to a muscle aggravation. Ellington's foot could heal within days, or it may take weeks. Owners need to make other plans at running back this week with the Cardinals and Chargers not kicking off until late Monday night.

this has been the argument for many backs over the years and it rarely works out.

I think the Cardinals would favor Dwyer over Taylor because Harold Goodwin, the Cardinals OC, coached at Pittsburgh when they drafted Dwyer. Just my guess though.

I'm making plans to sit him. P. Thomas vs ATL or Woodhead vs Arizona? PPR

Ding ding ding.
Arians was the OC at Pitt for two years when Dwyer came out. He is going to be the one getting the workload. Now it's just a guessing game since now they are saying Ellington might play Monday.
I have to choose between Sproles, Sankey, or Dwyer. I hope this situation is cleared up by Sunday

they just need to sit him and let it heal, don't cj spiller this

I agree.
It's only week 1 and there's a ton a football left to be played. If he was prescribed rest then why wouldn't you rest him?

According to the Arizona Republic, Jonathan Dwyer "likely would start" if Andre Ellington (foot) misses time. Multiple sources tell beat writer Kent Somers that Ellington could miss "significant time" despite a more-optimistic story from NFL Network that came out Friday. Dwyer is not a special talent or game-breaking runner, but was already first in line for goal-line carries in Arizona's backfield, and could push for 14-17 touches in Monday night's tilt with San Diego. Stepfan Taylor would be second in line for work. Dwyer should be grabbed in all leagues. Sep 5 - 1:15 PM
