I have the #1 and #6 pick in the first round of the rookie draft. who to pick? The four people between my picks don't need a QB. should I take Caleb at 6? (I have the 11th pick too). My team is as follows (and yes, it's garbage):

QB Trevor Lawrence (plus a couple of guys I will drop to make room)
RB: Gibbs, Rachaad White, Zeke, Gus, zamir white, dobbins
WR: Devota smith, nico collins, dionte johnson, Treylon Burks, downs, tank dell
TE: McBride, Otton, Okonkwo, Musgrave, Dulcich

Thoughts?

Superflex or 1 QB?

That team isn't garbage at all unless it's 10 team or smaller

I wouldn't take Caleb at #6 in 1 QB. That will likely be the sweet spot to grab a WR drafted to a good offense in the first round or the best RB with a chance to play immediately

At pick #11 I think either Caleb or Jayden would make much more sense.

I'm assuming single QB.

Why do you have so many TEs?

1 is obviously MHJ

at 6 I'm hoping Odunze dropped, but I think you're looking at like Brian Thomas, AD Mitchell, or a Troy Franklin type there.

I might swing on a QB at 11, but you can probably get the RB2 or 3 and I think you're going to need another one

If it’s super flex then Caleb at one.
Then bpa non qb like Rome, bowers, or Brian Thomas jr at 6. At 11 go wr if you took bowers. Jonathan brooks is only rb id consider at 11 and that depends which team he ends up on.

For single qb, id go MHJ at one.
At 6 take bowers or best wr left.
At 11 I’d Caleb, Jayden or JJ if Vikings got him. Jonathan brooks is also in consideration here.

It’s a 1 QB, 10 team league. I have so many TEs simply because I want to hit on a couple and good ones are hard to come by. That also makes them great trade bait if they pan out. That being said, I will likely drop a couple of them on draft day. Keeping McBride of course and probably Musgrave

MHJ or Nabers at 1 and best WR available at 6, BTJ or McConkey maybe

Definitely not worth the 6th overall pick on a QB in a one QB league when you have a solid young guy already imo

Maybe a 3rd round chance on Penix or Nix

Like others said, don’t take a QB with the sixth pick. This is supposed to be a great WR draft, and you’ll likely have WR’s like Franklin, McConkey, Coleman, and Thomas available at that pick.

Plus, you can always draft a QB with the 1.11 as well.

would it be worth taking Bowers at 6 if I have McBride? Or should I go WR no matter what?

Also, would it be bad to have McBride and Harrison Jr. if the Cardinals take MHJ?

You’re jumping the gun. Be patient and wait to see the landing spots. The rankings always change after the draft.

You can bank the top WR with your pick #1… beyond that, don’t commit to any strategy until you see how the draft shakes out

Just take the best player. I’d guess Bowers will qualify if he’s there at 6. Having 2 young stud TEs would be a good “problem” to have.

No, I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Like I said above, just take the best player. Offseason dynasty strategy is 90% just acquiring the most talent possible.

Update: got offered 1.02 and 1.08 for 1.01. Seems like a no-brainer, but man I really like MHJ. As much of an LSU fan I am (Nabors), MHJ looks legit. I should probably wait until after the draft, huh?

You can wait, but there's no guarantee the deal will be there after the draft

I agree on waiting until after draft.
Accepting now with trading the first pick would not be a smart move.
If Nabers ends up on chargers, he may very well be worth the first pick.
Just wait and see.
