The other 5 games you lost wouldn't be contributing? What about the other 8 players on your roster that you started. I think the point was that one game by one player isn't make or break for a season.

That's funny. For some reason I always envision a middle aged white guy for every username I see and treat everyone the same. It always shocks me when I find out that's not the case.
