Yall are talking about softball yeah? I played in a nola kickball league a couple years ago and had a good time but it'd be nice to play some softball. I really miss playing baseball.
I play in a cricket league over here which is pretty fun. Was tough learning how to bowl instead of pitch and that there is no such thing as a ball or strike (or strike out). Just swing at anything. You can crush with a flat bat though.

Haha. Yeah man. It's not super different from baseball and is really fun once you get the hang of it.
Run between sticks instead of bases. Don't have to run if you hit it right to them.
Bat until you get out or they run out of bowls (pitches). Can hit it any direction or just straight up run on a past ball that gets away from the keeper (catcher).
Bowl it with a straight arm on a run up and bounce it instead of pitching. This was the hardest thing to learn. Even regular dudes in this social league can put some nasty spin on the ball that causes it to curve then kick hard to different directions.
