We don’t have to have 10 posts a day to make it a good league. We already know who has a tendency to quit these leagues. This should be strongly considered next time a new league comes up when we’re considering owners. Especially in a keeper or dynasty league.

You don’t need posts to make a good league

No one quits good leagues. Apathetic owners breed apathy in leagues. No one stepped up to update trades or weekly scoring? Owners don’t answer trades. Not setting lineups. League tilting terrible trades. It’s frickin fantasy football, it’s not hard to manage. Care more

No one quits good leagues.

You quit TDBA right after the rookie draft the year after you won the championship. That league is still kicking.

No one stepped up to update trades or weekly scoring?

League had a commissioner doing this in the past. Why put this on every member of the league now? I don't really know of any other league that functions like that.

Owners don’t answer trades.

Work all avenues? I never have any issues with owners answering. Like I stated earlier in the year, I rarely send out an offer blindly. I've contacted by email, chat, etc.

Not setting lineups.

Who has done this? When it is top 7/bottom 7 it only really impacts the rookie draft. I don't feel like this has been a real issue. Swamie is the tankiest of tankers (He is building) this year, but has been a more than solid owner.

League tilting terrible trades.

Jesus Christ. One terrible trade, AND IT WAS REVERSED. Who cares if it happened. Leagues across the world veto trades all the time. Get over it.

Not arguing. Just wanted to state that last week was the first week I remember not taking out a player that was Q heading to the game. And I'm kicking myself because had I paid attention, I could have had top score last week (Warning shot to the league next season!).

Did get some goose eggs from leaving in 4th/5th WR types who were either DNP or didn't get targets but if you saw what my bench did, it wouldn't have made a difference.

I should have been more proactive on the waiver with one or two players but it doesn't have anything to do with this league. Been a busy year for me. For the first time in 10 years, I left a QB on a bye on my home team's lineup in week 12.

I've considered giving up this team to an owner who would be more active in FA than I've been but I'm not quitting on the league or my team unless I'm positive the next owner would be better.

Yeah, hitting on the WW is near to impossible. We are drafting 4 rounds in the rookie draft.

My big dollar spend on WW was Mason Rudolph......

Let’s just contract the league to 12 teams. Have some sort of a supplemental draft. And then the ww wouldn’t be so barren.

Is that ok with everyone?

There’s literally a thread that’s been up for weeks looking for another new owner to take over yet another shitty team I quit that league knowing the new league would comprise TDBA

Why didn’t you step up to do it when I asked? I will give you sole powers to commish the league if you want

The avenue is to respond to the trade offer when notified by email. The onus is not on me to gchat someone and ask if they want to trade

RE Lineups and trades - all I can say is check the tape

You sure got a lotta excuses for apathy here Tommy, when the simple solution would be to just be better. Or don’t, then it can just be another league where half the owners give two shits. I don’t think anyone signed up for that though, which is why you’re seeing people leave. Sounds like you’re ok with it

That's a knat owned team. Knat is leaving both leagues, and not just TDBA.

Those staying in the league. I have updated the LM note to include weekly winners.

Everyone in the playoffs, GL.

To avoid someone quitting due to rules, we can start a discussion after the playoffs regarding any rule changes. We can also discuss course of action for the teams that are quitting.

It’s useless to debate any of those points. Let whoever wants to quit, quit. Let’s go to 12 teams and move on.

Who’s in?

Who’s out?

I prefer to keep it to 14 teams, you can find players on wire you just need to look for upside guys and grab them before they flash or break out. I've been in league for 2 years and off the top of my head I've gotten Curtis Samuel, Geronimo Allison (when he was in top 15 scoring in first 5 games-flipped for Dak), MVS, Darius Slayton (then dropped), Preston Williams, Jonnu Smith, Jaylen Samuel's, Justin Jackson, Kirk Cousins, Ryan Tanehill and probably more I just cant remember. These aren't world beaters by any means but they can be found on the wire and help your team. With 14 teams and 20 player rosters is pretty similar to standard 12 teams 25-28 player roster construction. Having holes and lack of "the player you need" should encourage trading more, that's the whole fun of dynasty I thought? I do agree it is frustrating that I'm one of the ones always trying to initiate conversations for trades and get limited response from several in league....would love to see the league more active with trades year round.

I already found an active user to take over a team I brought up earlier in year and we found "none" in what one day? it's not that hard to find as most of us are in other leagues and know people who are active and know their shite.

I've also been impressed with integrity of those out of playoff hunt. It was in my best interest to lose every game as it's no secret I'm trying to rebuild along with others, but for most part every single week everyone played the best players to score points.

I can update scoring next season most weeks, travel a lot for work so may just need to coordinate with someone else but it can be covered.

My assumption is that we will have to replace Gyno, LE, and Dirt Dawgs.

Let us know if there are others.

Deebz and Swamie can send me their $25 bottom feeder. Gyno is sending me all the money so I can disperse at seasons end.

I'm still in

Good with replacing owners if we can or contracting and have a supplemental draft.

Would like to echo what has been said about how good some of yall have done with setting solid lineups even though you're rebuilding.

I've been out of town on vacation for a bit (and still am) so I don't have as many opportunities to post but I'm in and want this league to continue.

I’d rather 12 committed owners than 14 owners with 2 flimsy ones.
