I couldn't watch the game but someone tell me what the hell happened here?

Did Barkley just not throw to him at all?

I read how Alshon was unhappy with targets, wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Incredible matchup for Meredith, what the hell happened here?

A distaster. The bears and jets are the teams to stay away from.

Before Hoyer got hurt he appeared to be forcing the ball to Alshon which wasn't working at all. I think Hoyer only targeted Cam once and there was PI called on that play. After Hoyer got hurt Matt just held the ball to long Green Bay was getting pressure and Chicago couldnt move the ball. Just the perfect storm of Shatshow. Cam did catch a little screen for about 20 yards but it got called back for Illegal man down field. He might of had 5 targets total from what I remember

Ended up sitting Montgomery for Gillislee while leaving Meredith in.

The only thing that doesn't have me is the fact that Montgomery had two easy TD's and didn't convert on either. Still, 12pts > 1.5 pt.

Matt Barkley happened.

Meredith actually had a ~30 yard reception or so at one point but was brought back by several linemen downfield.

Actually when he had the opportunity he still looked pretty good. It just seems like he isn't going to have much opportunity going forward unless something is worked out at qb.

Right before the game I read a Bears beat writer article saying Alshon sat down with Fox and pretty much demanded the ball and felt he was not getting anywhere near enough targets.

Explains Hoyer trying to force everything to him if thats what happened.
