If Freeman wants opportunity he should look at the Jets.

Saints star WR Michael Thomas' high-ankle injury is worse than originally believed, and he’s now expected to miss several weeks, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Thomas is as tough as they come and surely will try to defy that timeline. But it'll be a battle.

Brandon Parker, agent for Bears’ WR Allen Robinson, said he and his client have not requested a trade. However Robinson, who is in the last year of his contract, is unhappy that Chicago has been unwilling to pay him market value for wide receivers.

They may lean on Kamara more and let him line up as a receiver a little more than usual and let Murray be the RB.

Sanu signed a one-year contract with the 49ers on Tuesday, Michael Giardi of NFL Network reports.

Spin: After being cut by the Patriots earlier in the month, Sanu watched Week 1 from home. However, the 49ers are bringing him in to patch up their injury-riddled receiver corps. The 31-year-old Sanu posted 59 receptions for 520 yards and two scores over 15 games last season between the Falcons and Patriots, and he'll have an opportunity to make an immediate impact with the 49ers since WR Deebo Samuel (foot) is on IR and TE George Kittle is dealing with a sprained knee. Sanu ha familiarity with Kyle Shanahan's system from their time together in Atlanta, so he should have a role in Sunday's matchup versus the Jets.

"Possibly inevitable [Zach Ertz] trade." I hold Mike Kaye in the highest esteem among beats and I know he wouldn't throw this around lightly. Don't skimp on the FAAB bucks if you have a chance to get Goedert. Be willing to overpay in dynasty trades.

Possibly inevitable

Love that usage

Either way... Goedert is way under-owned in ESPN leagues and will probably head over 50-70% after waivers clear tomorrow.

Thielen has only missed games in 2019. This injury tag around him is lol.

Would be nice, but you never know how much MT’s presence opens up the field for the Saints offense. I’m nervous.

Lamar Jackson has now been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week in five of his last nine starts. Over that span:

Comp. rate: 70.6
TD passes: 28
Interception: 1

Rushing: 675 yards
TD runs: 4

Lamar Jackson when pressured in under 2 seconds - 100% completion rate (4/4)

Non-Lamar QBs - 42%

Is this real life??

Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay, who is battling turf toe, is still receiving a second opinion. But don’t be surprised to see him miss the next few weeks, just based on the nature of his injury and the position he plays. But it’s not considered long-term.

Good news for Gordon. Have to hope Lindsay is back in time for bye week fill ins.

Only Bucs player I didn’t see at today’s practice was receiver Chris Godwin, who took a helmet-to-helmet hit Sunday but had said Tuesday he was fine. Mike Evans, Jordan Whitehead, Rakeem Nunez-Roches all looked fine.

Godwin did a Zoom call with reporters Tuesday, and players in concussion protocol can't do interviews. If he's sidelined with anything, it isn't a concussion.
