I think this is the year Cruz stays healthy and gets back to being that top 10 guy.

I wanted to take a chance on him but you and GYNO didn't want to trade him to me.

There's about to be a large discharge from the rig, and it's not going to be oil.

Rondo

Starting Lineup: 48.94 (4th)
Strong from top to bottom, despite Tulo being the only real stud. Lacks homers, possibly. Maybe not.

Pitching: 47.48 (4th)
Again, well rounded overall. Very nice top 4, then a frickload of guys that could be boom or bust. In decent shape in the pen.

Bench: 12.15 (3rd)
Love this bench. Great wild cards in Chapman, Presley, Volquez, and even Leonys Martin.

Overall: 108.57 (2nd)
I think pitching will lead the way for this squad, but his hitting is nothing to take lightly. Solid team, with strong playoff possibilities.

Louie

Starting Lineup: 50.63 (3rd)
Uh, Pujols AND Kemp? Good God. Bottom half of lineup is a bit messy, but who gives a frick. Nice offense.

Pitching: 57.03 (2nd)
Definitely my second favorite staff behind Gyno's. Good luck beating this team in strikeouts. Saves are a lock almost every week.

Bench: 11.42 (5th)
Not that it matters, but the bench is decent, too. Cody Ross could be a real steal.

Overall: 119.07 (1st)
According to CBS, the overall wasn't even close, as Louie is first by almost 11 full points. I think it's closer than that, and that there are five real contenders. Louie is definitely one of those five.

For pitching, I considered your top 5 SPs and top 3 RPS to be "starters,"

r-fig, can you list what players you plugged in for these positions on my team?

SP Ian Kennedy
SP Matt Cain
SP Ubaldo Jimenez
SP Mike Leake
SP Brett Myers

RP Neftali Feliz
RP Chris Sale
RP Jesse Crain

You can basically swap Myers and Feliz and it wouldn't make a difference. Sale is gonna be a SP this year, so I could take him out and replace him with your next highest RP, but it would just make your ratings worse.

CBS has some odd projections on some of your guys, for sure. Its certainly not as bad as they make it out to be.

My opening lineup will prob look like

Cain
Kennedy
Jimenez
Feliz
Sale

Ogando
Myers
Broxton

ESPN's projections are much more what im expecting for Feliz/Sale

Feliz (164 IP 148Ks 3.73 ERA 1.22WHIP 17QS)
Sale (143IP 148 Ks 3.34 ERA 1.25 WHIP 15QS)

even Bard

155 IP 144Ks 3.54 ERA 1.32 WHIP

im pretty convinced one or 2 of these 3 guys will be more than serviceable. i hope at least

I have a lot of confidence in Sale and Feliz. Bard is still iffy.

And if Broxton gets the closers job, you are in much better shape.
