He means why give a team that is short on picks extra ones? Why help that team?

I don't think CBS will allow a person to draft a player after they've filled their team. Regardless of the fact that they have additional picks. Anyone else know for sure?

Who knows?

Im simply pointing out that someone could take a flyer on a guy in the 16th and he could be a contributor.

While it is a 16th rounder, it still shouldn't be given away just because someone has extra.

You hold the extra picks and they vanish once you have used 16 picks.

No need for charity in this league. Especially after I lost out on 6 picks that I wouldve glady taken.

Didn't we talk about something to the effect of people who didn't get equal draft picks back in trades were shite out of luck? Everyone shot down the idea of giving the extra picks to guys who needed them.

No, we said that it was not going to be up to the league (Commish) to spread those picks around. If a team chose to grant another team a missing draft pick, then so be it.

Those trades, just like all the others, can be vetoed.

he said he would just pick his players via free agency....at this point it's really not much of a difference

I mean why we always gotta be so serials

i really dont see how anyone thinks giving away picks is OK, even if they are last round and even if it is to the worst team

a 16th rounder (253 overall) has absolutely no value.

an 11th rounder does.

If you can't see that, then you are a fricking moron to the nth degree and don't even deserve to play in a league like this. Go join DATBL.

Actually this is something datbl would allow. For someone who was ready to write and make rules for everything, that response sure did make me laugh.

And a 11th round pick has value to someone who can't use that pick nor trade it for anything. If Clams felt nice he could give it to someone. You'd be a hypocrite to veto that one and not a 16th Rd pick.

If a 16th Rd pick has no value, then why does he need it? Is it worth setting a bad precedent over a pick you just deemed meaningless?

OK. Makes sense. I guess no one was feeling charitable when I was missing 6 picks.

Only trades that are legit get vetoed duh

Ok, then let him pick them through free agency

If there is no difference then why do it?

what the hell are you talking about?

being serious would be you getting mad when people say you are too poor to pay the league fee.

this is just talking about stuff in the league that went on today.. you know, the point of this thread.. to talk about league happenings?

i'd say it has value for a team missing picks. why give it up to him if not?

And I'd imagine a league like DATBL would probably give another team a pick because they were short and their team was shitty

I was willing to even everything out earlier. Remember? You were the one that had a fit. Again, it's just like any other trade. Don't like it? Veto it.

You could have asked me for that 4th to last overall pick three months ago and I would have gladly given it to you.

That's a fact.

I asked in the thread when the question was originally posed.

Yea I didn't think it was fair then and don't think it is now. Surely you agreed as well as others or you would have straightened it out then, amirite? But you didn't. You left it alone. Now all of a sudden I am a moron. I'm sure some kind of penis or whale fricker insult follows shortly.

Its always Good to know that a commish can't even think for himself.

Get it right.

Can't help you with your 14th. I don't have any extras left.

I have no clue what any of that even means.

I was the one that offered to even it out. How quickly you forget. You threw a fit, so I said "frick it" you are on your own.

In the future I suggest you be intelligent enough to get a swap back on any pick you trade.

Whale penis fricker.

I was having a convo in the thread with YOU about getting picks back. Guess I needed to solicit each owner.

If you, as the commish of this league sees no problem with this, then I don't know what to say and apparently it's not worth arguing further. Giving picks away doesn't equal integrity, dude.

if you don't like it, veto it, huh? great. half the league doesn't even know this is going on right now.
