This is their chance to connect with the real world imo. What issues would change the face of the party to you? For me:

-Marijuana Legalization at the Federal level
-Gay Marriage-just let it happen. Most of us don't care.

Agree. Not a hill worth dying on.

This x1000.

I'll add the environment. Don't go full blown tree hugger but get tougher on polluters.

Pursue criminal justice reform (which the Tea Parties are already doing) and a noninterventionist foreign policy.

Marijuana/WoD
Gay Marriage
Immigration Reform (easier path to citizenship)

While we're at it, I'd like to see them actually be fiscally responsible again, as well. It's not enough to spend slightly less than the Dems, they need to truly be responsible spenders again.

I don't think social issues had anything to so with this win. And none of it "trumps" the economic issues that got him elected.

Nominate conservative SCOTUS. Other than that stay out of that quagmire. Let states decide.

I don't think it had anything to do with this win either. I'm looking down the road for them to shake the rich, white, old, and religious stigma they have.

That'll be a hard road...seeing as he meets 3/4 of those stigmas.

But I get your point.

Well we know that's not going to happen, based on Trump's hundred day plan.

Run with black candidates so blacks will go to the polls. You can keep PA that way.

Dial back defense spending. Plus the two you mentioned. The war on drugs is a scourge on the earth but they'll never get the fundy vote abandoning that shite cause, so whatever. Basically I want the republicans to actually be conservative again.

#1 Marijuana/WoD - This seems like a no brainer. Yes, I'm younger so my generation easily favors marijuana legalization, but the data proves the schedule 1 classification is a joke.** A Lot of the resources used to enforce the WoD can be focused on securing our borders.

#2 Gay Marriage - Pence has pushed legislation that was very anti this. Trump needs to open the party up on this. It doesn't affect most people. These people are going to be together, give them the dignity to legally call each other partners.

#3 Immigration Reform (easier path to citizenship) - I want a government with a no nonsense deportation of illegal immigration. Those in favor of ILLEGAL immigration are fools. Illegal immigrants are a burden on the economy, and they have to fight the steady flow from our southern border. HOWEVER, I would like to see the immigration process to be "better".

Honest question because I don't know: how do we mobile and get those of us in the middle of the bell curve for this. id I've for louisiana to do something that louisiana wouldn't normally do.
