Got one today for $485 now waiting on a part so it will accept the mags from my TP9SF.

Tell us how you like it, after you shoot it. I know a guy that has one in .45 and he loves it, but it's the 2nd firearm that he has ever owned. The other is a Mossberg pump shotgun.

I have the 9mm that takes Glock mags. Will shoot any ammo and is a fun gun.

Own one as well. It’s a blast

I’ve picked up two of them in the last month and a half in Glock 17. They’re a cool little blaster to have around.

Can you get the Sub2000 with a threaded barrel if not can the barrel be threaded?

question about subguns.
leaving out ALL other advantages of a longer barrel like sight radius, etc:
I'd like to know about the velocity that the extra barrel length does for a 9mm bullet in real world ballistics.
take hickock45 for example at the 12:45 mark talking about added velocity
does the 9mm now over penetrate? Or does it make it expand better? I don't know.
I ask this because there is a popular youtuber that speaks about the G35 and the extra inch over the G17. He mentions that in a go to battle situation, the extra inch is preferred while i think the extra velocity doesn't really do anything.
THere are so many distinctions with barrel to caliber. A 223 AR pistol is way more powerful over a lighter 16 inch 9mm (and i get that these are mostly for fun). THen introduce 115/124/147 grain and there is a factor of three.
But the market has introduced so many variations that you can get what you want, but it muddies the water a bit.
All of these questions really fly out the window due to availability, but just asking.

The Gen 2 should be threaded. I had one in .40 but sold it.

The gen 2 sub 2000 has a threaded barrel

quote:I've read several places (probably including here) that increased velocity can result in problems with bullet penetration and expansion. The Lucky Gunner website ran some tests with longer barrel lengths using Speer Gold Dot 124 grain and Federal HST 124 & 147 grain (with standard and +P versions of each). Velocity from a Ruger 9mm carbine (16.1" barrel) compared to handguns (3.5" and 4.7" barrels) changed a good bit for the 124 gr loads (particularly the Gold Dots) and very little for the 147 gr bullets. The Gold Dots both over expanded and the standard velocity round under penetrated. self defense ammo for pistol caliber carbines I have a Ruger 9mm carbine and keep my magazines loaded with 147 gr HST rounds based on these tests.

I just bought a Hi Point 995 TS (And fricken' love it!!), and it seems to add about 200 to 300 FPS. I would assume the Keltec would be around the same.

It’s just a natural byproduct of the barrel, but what is your perceived advantage of having this extra 250 FPS on a 9mm.
I’m just asking if getting a sub gun with a 147 +p+ is a huge game changer for ballistics.
