Leaving the store today, I see a couple coming in with a mattress for return.

I noticed the woman was pregnant and several thoughts came to mind.

If you had to guess, what is the reason for the return?

Costcos ridiculous return policy is ultimately why it was returned.

Because they pay $75/yr to be able to return items that do not meet their satisfaction.

If you buy a nice mattress you have 60 days to try it and trade it for another one. I finally kept my 4th one when I bought last year

She’s already pregnant, so you know ol boy is spraying guts. Definitely have some creampie drizzle on the mattress

You know where these mattresses end up if they can’t resell them.

They will end up at places like Dirt Cheap.

I saw memory foam one and was disgusted that they had one on display with no sheets and a stain dead center.

They were still trying to command top dollar for that mess of a mattress.

Used to be an antique mall next to my office. One of the consigners was dropping of a bed/mattress set that she acquired from a gay couple. The bottom sheet and mattress pad were still on it.

I asked if she had looked at the actual mattress and she said "no." She then looked - stain city. It was jizzed up and more. She was even more upset when I told her that the finials on the bedposts looked like butt plugs (and they did).

That she was hoping a new mattress would ease her back pain - but it didn’t - so why keep it?

She wanted a girl and found out she was having a boy.

She's returning it as "defective."
