Planning a trip there for the Auburn game in Sept. We will be making some stops along the way to fish some of the rivers I've always heard about before getting to Fayetteville on Thursday night. What are the can't miss restaurants and bars for us to visit Friday and Saturday? Any game day things that we would need to see? Possible tailgate areas we would need to tour?
Thanks,
Thanks,

If you trip takes you from Memphis to Little Rock, stop along the way in De Valls Bluff at Ms. Lena’s for a pie or three. It’s incredible. Craig’s BBQ is right across the street if you are hungry for lunch.

Just got back from Arkansas for a wedding. Beautiful campus. The wedding was at Carnal Hall and their food was fantastic. I honestly cant remember the bars we hit, but we just walked down Dickson. Had Eureka pizza at 3am and it was perfect hammered food Had slims the next day to soak the rest of the alcohol up (chicken finger place) and then ate at Green Submarine (sub shop) that was absolutely fantastic on the way out. I am thinking about heading up to the game after that weekend. Really fun town, and school wasnt even in

1) Hugo's is the iconic restaurant where everyone eats. Expected to wait, though.
2) Everyone is into Cheers on the square now, as its taken over an unused space that needed to be utilized. It's okay. Not that great.
3) Wright's BBQ is seriously awesome. Set up similar to Franklin's with a yard and picnic tables. If you can't sit outside, then it can be pretty tough as inside seating is limited.
4) Sauc'D BBQ on Dickson is also good. Not as good as Wright's, but good.
5) Woodstone is excellent, as mentioned.
6) JBGB is a fun place with lawn games and such. Once again, fun when weather is good.
7) Leverett Lounge if you're into slightly more high end, but not fancy. Same people who own Maxine's.
8) Maxine's is insane, but excellent for cocktails. We used to hang out there a lot more before the college crowd discovered it. Still a great place to get a drink
9) Crisis Brewery is excellent if you're into beer. Columbus House and Fossil Cove are also fun places to hang, but their beer isn't as good as Crisis.
10) Arsaga's at the Depot is probably my personal favorite cuisine in town. They're opening a new restaurant next to Woodstone on South School. Not sure if it will be open by the Fall, though.
I stuck to Fayetteville for the most part. If you go up to Bentonville, it opens up a ton of options.

If you explore rodgers or Benton I’ll and like a good steak, Mr. B’s steakhouse is nice but expect 100 for 2 people. Like said before go to Hugo’s on Saturday morning, they go to the farmers market and get fresh ingredients and change the menu based on what was available.

Bump.
We will get there Thursday night. Need some local things to see and do for Friday. Looks like there's a greenway I can run in the morning, but need some wife stuff to do this day.

Thanks,
Drive her up to Crystal Bridges. It's seriously amazing. Just leave about 9am and come back before 3pm to avoid commuter traffic. You can get there in under 30 minutes from Fayetteville.
Lots of shopping on Block Street and the square. If she likes to be outside, hike Mt. Kessler.

Crystal Bridges it is. Thanks!

Those are, seriously, three awful restaurant choices.

It's actually the Graduate, now, and it's part of the Graduate chain of hotels (if you're familiar). They definitely went a little overboard with this design, but the chain knows how to run a thoughtful, funky hotel. Food and beverage service are both good there, and just hanging and drinking at the lobby bar of the hotel is a good experience.
Just don't be thrown off by the plaid... or the camo...
Good places to eat/drink within easy walk of your hotel:
Food:
Taste of Thai
Axis Lounge (it's a weird VR/Gaming place, but they actually have pretty badass Oaxacan-inspired tapas)
Vetro
West Mountain Brewery
DamGoode Pies
Hugo's
Drinks:
The Nines Alley (beer, wine, and cider only.. but fun speakeasy style place).
The Vault (craft cocktails $$$)
Maxines (craft cocktails)
West Mountain Brewery (also a pizzeria but have a good bar and beer)
Pinpoint (pinball bar.. yes.. lots of pinball games in a bar).
All of those are within a block of your hotel and don't require walking down to Dickson. If you're over 30, Dickson kind of sucks, in my opinion. I'd much rather hang out at the places I listed above than Dickson at night.

mid 40's.
Trying Hugo's Thursday night. It was on every recommendation list.
Patio seating is first come first serve at Theo's. Trying it Friday night with the nephew. No reservations available. the other fine dining spots are Italian and that's our least favorite fine dining style. Gonna try to get Wright's BBQ in on the way to/from Crystal Bridges.
Saturday will be Rick's Iron Skillet or Farmer's Table. Game. Then Dickson St with stops at Crisis and Columbus House breweries.

Other than kicking Hog arse, I'm curious how the weekend went. Hope you had a good time.
