Florida would fit except for the hurricanes.
Maybe the area around Tampa, which is slightly less prone to them.

Anything involving a specialist will likely require a trip to Jackson or Memphis. And will be heavily overscheduled due to the lack of those specialties in N MS.
Oldest daughter had an appointment scheduled months in advance in Memphis. Goddamn doc left the clinic in the time between scheduling and the actual visit.
She moved back down here with us and we got her an appointment in about two weeks.

Honestly, you have to see The Villages to believe it. Forget anything you have heard about it and see it for yourself. It is beautiful, safe, and very affordable. Medicare supplemental insurance is $0 per month. Drug supplemental is $0 per month. The amenity fee is $160 per month which is ridiculously low once you see everything that covers. The golf courses are really nice, the restaurants are good, and there are 100+ venues each night with live music. Softball, archery, dragon boat, etc. if you are into it, there is a club for it.

A mother’s womb, that’s all I can come up with.

Pickwick is pretty cool. But it is rural living, which might be a problem for aging retirees.
I guess the nearest "city" for healthcare and shopping would be Tupelo, Corinth, then Memphis.
Non of the above. Florence/ Muscle Shoals is the closest big city.

We went to Parthenon a few weeks ago. I had no idea it was that nice up there.
