What’s the general consensus on manifest?

Watching on Netflix, so have only seen the first 2 seasons. Thought the first 10 episodes were great, outside of a couple mediocre actors. Then hit kind of a lull and thought the second wrapped up well.
Anyone into the third season? Any good?
Was hoping it would be the second coming of Lost, which was a mistake. But still overall entertaining and emotional show.

I find the main actor be boring and despite liking the premise I eventually got bored and never finished season 2.

It’s a show that’s been revitalized by being on Netflix when it wasn’t that popular on network tv
My social media feed is chock full of people clearly now hearing about this show that it’s on Netflix
Watched the pilot when it aired, the horrible plane blowing up at the end, and haven’t watched a second of it since

For network tv fare it wasn't bad. The first season did a good job of having the lives of the passengers' families and friends going forward after their disappearance and how their sudden return impacted things.
The callings were always handled well enough by the writers to not make it blatantly obvious what they meant until you were deep into the episode. Binging the series showed the callings getting progressively stronger and I'm not sure that showed well in viewing it weekly as new episodes dropped (I felt similar with Lucifer, the character growths seemed far better and clearer when binging).
I wouldn't mind seeing it go to Netflix as it seems to have a definite ending point and the writers can write toward it and finish it out (because at the very least it's a fun idea).

I couldn’t get past the acting.

Watched every episode so far. I have no idea why. It gets exponentially worse every episode. The overacting by Ben’s wife, the actual connection you have with the characters slowly fades and I find myself thinking “I’d be ok if they all died now”.
The whole “I gotta save my son!” by Ben at the expense of I don’t know how many lives is dumb.
The lady cop is almost as bad as Bens wife in overacting.
But yet … we still watch it … like a horrifying accident. I don’t know why.

The show started out pretty good for what is is (a LOST ripoff). I found it distracting to make the "hardened badass cop" main actress some wide eyed 21 year old girl.

Seconded

Characters all suck. Starts out okay but towards the end of season 1 it seems they ran out of ideas and it just gets dumb. My 2 cents.
