Well I’m talking about the 40s but clearly you came here for a discussion and definitely not to condescend and lecture to people.
People in the 1940s dressed like trash. When we went away from powdered wigs, breeches, and stockings, we lost this country.

It took 4 pgs for someone to say it. Ppl didn’t have closets full of clothes back then. You had one or two nice suits, a few shirts if you were lucky. They were washing this stuff once every week or two. They didn’t have online shopping or giant malls. What we see today is the result of many things but consumerism is at the very heart. Buy, buy, buy. Ppl have options and the way you dress is how ppl express themselves and how they want ppl to view them.

Styles and fads change.
It's all in the media and Hollywood.
Think about any futuristic movie or TV series, do they dress like people from the 50s? No.

but don’t go to Wal-Mart looking like you just rolled out of bed.
This is literally the only time I go. Early in the am to avoid people.

Jesus, not all of us are ballers and can afford such an extensive wardrobe.
Your pappy prob wore the sane few suits every day of his life.
Fudge that.

Every funeral I've ever been to since I was 12 years old, I have worn a dark suit. Used to be, people respected the deceased in this manner. That tradition has been totally trashed and I've seen dumbasses show up in blue jeans and sweats.
