History always repeats itself. Never forget that.

One month after Adolf Hitler took the office of Chancellor of Germany in 1933, the Reichstag (the capital of Germany) was gutted by fire and a communist provocateur was implicated in the starting the fire. The Nazi Party took advantage of this by passing the “Reichstag Fire Decree” which cracked down on all political dissent and put restrictions on civil liberties. This paved the way for the passage of the “Enabling Act” just one month later which transformed Adolf Hitler from Chancellor to Fuhrer of the newly dubbed “Third Reich”.

Remind anyone of anything going on recently?

As I have said time and again; “Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it”.

Wait so let me get this straight. The same people who made fun of democrats calling Trump "literally hitler" are now calling the incoming president "literally hitler"

One thing is for sure through all this. Both sides of the political aisle have a surplus of hypocrisy.

Not me - Biden is wwwwaaaayyyyyy dumber than Hitler.

Biden is like special needs Hitler. He's the kind of Hitler you feel bad for his parents when you see them struggling at the mall and he just won't stop pulling out his crank at the abercrombie and fitch lady. Constantly yelling about zeek hail in church, the whole nine.

“Reichstag Fire Decree”

The Dems are pushing for an event like this that can be tied to the right, as well as hopefully involving some shooting so they can really push their 2A... If they cannot push the right into it, then they will manufacture one...

Yeah yeah I've heard this one. "He didn't say exactly that" "he just implied it with everything he said, he didn't even keep it vague enough to draw any other conclusion. But, you know since he didn't say it exactly you are being the a-hole"

No. This was more of a hillbilly Whiskey Rebellion.

One side of the isle has called/blamed the other for what they actually did, and it’s not a jump to assume they are what they accuse the other side of becoming....

Name calling is one thing. Codification with the full weight of government is another.

Well, some arguments are shitty and based on emotion. Some arguments have merit and are rational.

I see the comparison as valid in the OP. I’ll await an argument against it.
