I said unless we have big trades in FA. As of right now, I’m not overly impressed. Trades in FA would change my opinion but I’m going on what has happened right now.

this aged well... that 2023 pick was what we gave up for Adams, so essentially we got RJ, flipped him for the 2023 pick, then got Adams, arguably the best true C and rim protector in the league, for that pick... suffice it to say, David Griffin knows what the hell he is doing... trust the process

I know people love to make fun of Windhorst but he's plugged in to NBA shite more than most.

Maybe options are like an ego thing?
If the player managed to get an option, it's a signal he was the one in control, with power/leverage in the negotiation.
If a team option or no option at all, it's as though the team won in a way.
