Disney is making a movie based on my family’s story and they are searching for actors to play me and my brother, Thanasis, in our younger days. No experience necessary! It helps if you resemble the handsome boys pictured below and have some basketball experience. SPREAD THE WORD!

When's the last time Disney came up with their own story? Legit question.

Probably back when this guy was still alive.

Certainly feels that way. Obviously that's not technically true but the remakes and getting by on past creations is so stale now. Seems like there's 3-4 remakes to every 1 original story at this point.

Pixar is owned by Disney. They purchased Pixar in 2006. I would imagine those movies make up the majority of their revenue in the film industry. Almost every single Pixar movie is an original story. The only one I can think of that wasn't was Coco, which was almost identical to the animated film The Book of Life made a couple years prior.

No it wasn't. Aside from being set around the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead there is very little that is similar between the two. Did you even watch both of them? Book of Life is about two deities making a bet on the winner of a love triangle while Coco is about a little boy who wants to be a musician discovering secrets about his family lineage.

His life is going to obviously play brilliantly on big screen. It's gonna be hard to fk up.

Yeah those movies are different story-wise.
