LSU has a coaching problem. Ed brought up how he allows his assistants complete control of player rotation and I think it's asinine when Tory Carter is only in because the position coach wanted him in over Gilbert
Gilbert was hurt, but if he can't go then Kole Taylor should be out there. There is no reason for Tory Carter to be split out wide.

Problems all over the field. Roster isn't nearly as good as we thought. Which isn't to excuse any of the coaches.

Because lack of a running game is not what is causing these losses.

What a dumb statement! Is it Faulks fault that we run the ball 15 times a game and throw 50 times a game????????

Well who's fault is it that we can't get a consistent rotation or figure out which back is more productive? Maybe if we figure that out first, we'll be able to lean on the running game. Clyde got better and stronger with consistent touches. Changing RBs each possession is killing our running game.

If LSU goes 1-9 after a championship year then last year was just a once in a lifetime perfect storm for O. LSU has enough talent alone every year to at least have a winning season year in and year out even if they did play an all SEC schedule every year. Hell even going 4-6 will be a disaster.

I don’t think Faulk has anything to do with the drop off in the running game. To me, it looks like the OL can’t run block for shite

Would probably help if we didn’t have only 1 running play.

Agreed. I just want to try running out of different formations, use a fullback, put in two TE's at some point. Change it up, make the defense adjust and play matchups more.

Again, it makes one wonder whether O is up to being the head of a top program. It is amazing how quickly it all went to hell.

Or maybe it had to do with Gilbert's injury or he needed a break.

I always find it odd when some of you pretend you can read minds.

Sidewalk you've been amazing in your lack in placing blame on coaches, those of who actually need it. There is nothing to lose by telling people after the game that he was hurt or he was gassed, but there is high controversy when you literally say, you don't know why he wasn't out there, and that it was a mistake that Tory Carter was out there instead of him. This is part of just letting his assistants sub people in and out all willy nilly for no got damn reason.

O literally said it was a mistake that Carter was out there on that same route that Gilbert scored on, instead of it being Gilbert.

Hard to work on a struggling run game when your defense has you in a shootout or playing from behind every week

Being in a shootout and playing from behind are very different

We won’t have a run game if we continue with the “let everyone have a good share of the carries” philosophy.

I have a feeling that the running game will get moving this weekend. Going to need it for the young QBs.

I think there's a lot of issues.
-OL needs work and we were without Ingram
-Play calling not schemed to establish consistent ground game
-QB and/or coaches checking out of run plays due to defensive formations
-RB rotation not managed correctly
