Denmark flat out refused to get on the bus to go to Allatoona on the day of the game. I was scheduled to work that game.

So Ouachita canceled the game with no positive cases on their team?

My wife's cousin's son is a sophomore at Allatoona. Did Denmark have cases?

I'm at Cherokee Friday. Playing Cartersville. Both 4-0. Should be a good one.

Not sure. My kids told me WM sent a ton of kids home today due to contact tracing. Not sick kids, just ones that had been within 6 feet of someone that tested positive. If that's going to be the standard, we should go virtual and just show up for practice/games.

Agree, the season is not going to last 3 weeks if this is the path we are going to take with contact tracing

But lots of these cases are coming from outside of school. So yes, they are coming in contact with it possibly at schools, but kids are simply not being made to stay home. Going virtual would only give them more time to be out on their own. So showing up to games and practices only wouldn’t stop them from coming into contact with it. It’s inevitable, kids are going to come into contact with it. If reported, people are going to be exposed within athletics. Schools aren’t the only places that are giving people contact points of the virus.

The contact tracing restriction is retarded.

There was an outbreak around Allatoona HS area I think. Never really got any clarification.

Saw Cartersville HS Week 1 against Morrow. Wasn't a fair fight as Morrow had only one week of practice prior due to COVID. Very sloppy game; there was a sequence of 6 or 8 straight penalties in the 2nd quarter.

Cherokee beat Rome 2 weeks ago, but I think Rome is very young this season.

You missed my point. I’m not concerned about my kids getting the virus. I’m concerned about my kids being perfectly healthy yet sent home constantly for 2 weeks because they have a locker 6 feet from someone who pops.

You are correct. '94-'95 was my Senior year there. Ouachita hasn't beaten West Monroe since 1994.

I am sure out paths have crossed back in the day. I was class of 96.

Gotta go back to A/B schedule or virtual learning. Or this season is practically over before it started. 1 positive case can send about 30 kids home. 20 cases and there goes a quarter of the school.

Hell no. These kids need to be in school. They have been out since March. Just use common sense. Contact tracing is bs.

That's the problem, none of this is common sense.
