5 days max maybe??
Have a trip planned out of venice for the 1st then going to wyoming for the 5th. Been checking weather in both places constantly. Is it mostly historical data this far out?

It'll be pretty close, in my experience, but of course can change. I would bet it be less likely to change in Venice than Wyoming this time of year short of a tropical storm. Weather changes faster the further north you go on "shoulder" seasons and we are definitely in fall in SE Washington....I would bet they are the same in Wyoming. I suspect its still pretty much Summer in Venice LOL...

Marine forecast today is 8-10 foot seas. I'm sure the charter companies must be hurting right now.

No doubt. Inshore is probably tough also except in specific locations. Hard way to earn a living....there is a reason it costs so much.

I'm hoping it pans out. Probably alot of people already rescheduling. Would have to put it off until next spring I'm sure.

When I look at the wind/weather forecast early in the week for a Saturday fishing trip I almost want it to be bad. Whatever they’re saying on Monday is guaranteed not to be the actual conditions on Saturday. I know it’s hard not to obsess over the forecast but I usually don’t put much credence into the predictions until Thursday. Even then there’s a huge margin for error.

Literally anything more than 3 days out is useless unless winter time post front conditions or dead of summer. I have literally seen the forecast change the night before a trip. When I had a camp in Delacroix we would literally wake up and look at the window. It was more accurate then the local TV met

not at all predictable. my last two trip were supposed to be 1-2 but turned out 4-5.

they were calling for 5kt winds, and you could see from bouy reports and stations along the coast, the winds were 15plus. You would think someone would be looking at real time conditions and updating the forecasts.

At 2000 a trip, highly doubtful. They had enough good days this year. Thats why the price is so high.

2-4 hours is all you can trust a forecast.

2 days out you can use it to get an idea of what it may be like.

Barring something like yesterday where we know it’s raining all day, I just go anyway. They’re almost always wrong.

NOLA, today was supposed to be the worst of the rain. It’s been misty, cool and relatively nice all day. Could easily fish in this weather
