Send them back. They'll send you two more.

Netflix's deal was all about you NOT sending the movies back.

Netflix relied on people being lazy.

You could keep 3 DVDs for 2 months and Netflix would be happier than a pig in mud. Charging you $30 for 3 DVDs.

Never once did you ever get an email, hey you forgot to return your DVD!

But on the flip-side if you were a voracious renter/returner, they'd act like they didn't get your DVDs for a week. Oh you're on the 3 DVD plan? Yeah, we find that you're renting too much.

You could put all the DVDs in a pouch together and they'd send you a notice, we've received Gigli but not Showgirls or Striptease.

I never once had that problem and me and my ex were watching a couple movies every few days.

I don't think I ever used it to get mainstream stuff, it was always obscure shite from my childhood like Zubilee Zoo and Superboy because you couldn't find it anywhere else

I did and one day got a letter in the mail saying you are getting two free months free from Netflix due to some class-action lawsuit somebody filed.

This was in their infancy; and were found to deliberately be lying to the customer about when they received your DVDs.

Maybe due to low inventory or just didn't want people renting 20 movies a month but it was a real thing.

I havent gotten actual discs from them in years, but I used to get 3 at a time, rip them, and send them back the same day. Every 4 or 5 days I'd had 3 more show up at the house.

About a dozen years ago or so, I had the 5 DVD plan. I was working 2nd shift somewhere 3-11. I would get my mail at 11am. Watch a movie then return it to the post office on my way to work.

Then watch a movie after work.

I think I did that for about 3 months straight

I still have the DVD plan (along with streaming).

Every time that I find that a film isn’t available to stream on my multiple services, I put it on my DVD que.

Once or twice a week I’ll watch a DVD. Their turnaround time is still top notch, even with the COVID mail delays.

I still have Aguirre, the Wrath of God that I didn’t realize I still had till a couple of years after cancelling the dvd service. Oddly enough, they never charged me for it.
