Sadly I agree. Since 90% of the media is under DNC control they are effective at setting the narrative. What he said was worded in a way that leaves it susceptible to exploitation. He would have done better to just stop with the one tweet.

If it gets him just 2 or 3 percent more of the black vote or if it gets just 2 or 3 percent more who are disgusted by all of the deja vu bullshite to stay home, it'll work out just fine for the incumbent.

When the election gets closer, Trump can point back to the quick response in having the FBI investigate. He can also talk about how his economy was the best ever for blacks, hispanics, etc. prior to COVID and how he can make it happen again. There's also the prison reform he can point to among other things.
The election is a long ways off.

I hope you're right. I've been expecting an explicitly pro-black strategy from Trump for awhile now.
The justice system reform stuff was good, but he needs to do something big before the election.
