It gets even more difficult to lose weight,
This is the truth. I had to make a complete diet change and cut out all the bullshite (soda, fast food, sweets). I finally said frick it, this is how I'm gonna eat till I die. Every now and then I'll treat myself to something, but for the most part I eat healthy now because the alternative is to look like a complete lard arse. It didn't always require that much effort. Also, exercise is key. Nothing crazy, but get up and commit yourself to at least 3 times a week of something (cardio, workout, intense yardwork) - anything.

It isn't like flipping a switch.

But you'll have to work harder to keep weight off.

Your eyes will go to shite at 43 and you will need reading glasses.

The old man aches and stiffness start at 46 or so.

This. At 40 I seemed to put in on faster than I could lose it. And I like to run and bike.

My biggest was my eyes went to shite at about 45. I'm 48 and not a lot more has changed. I had what I felt at the time a heart scare around 40 which turned out to me just being paranoid puss.

The eyes thing really bothers me because I had great vision until I had eye shingles, then one was not so great. But I still was cruising along just fine. I took the kids fishing and was trying to tie a damn knot and can't see if I'm threading the hook or not. Frustrating and I'm sure I'll end up carrying glasses but for now I just have them at home and work.
