Sim City Downloads

I have lot more time on my hands currently. I would love to download and play Sim City 3 or 4 on my PC (I am aware that I am old)
Some links show free downloads but sites could be questionable.
Any thoughts on this? I dont mind paying.

I have only actually played the first 2 versions.

I'm sure steam or origin has them for sale. Can probably find some cheap keys on kinguin or cdkeys

I know Sim City 4 is on Origin. I believe it's on Origin as well. For Sim City 3, I assume you mean 3000? that's not available digitally through legal means so far as I know.

I like Simcity 2000 and 4 the best.

Look at cities skylines, it's on sale on steam for stupid cheap for the next few days. Sim City 4 on modern computers gets really buggy and crashes when population starts growing fwiw.

Yup. It's fun and all but you gotta mod the hell out of it and it's buggy as can be.
Skylines is great. Look up a guy named imperialjedi on YouTube. He has a decent basic mod list to really improve the game without doing too much.

Pro tip.
Go ahead and buy some of the mods. Industry and traffic are great ones. Few other general gameplay mods that also make life easier

I can’t remember about the tutorials but one of the streamers I watch plays it occasionally and I learned a lot from him.

It’s a pretty solid game if you know how to play it. It has a lot of trickle down effects in the game based off of what you’re doing.
I tried starting a new city when I learned more about and downloaded better mods...but I had to abandon it because for whatever reason it only ever wanted me to build residential zones. I had thousands of people living in my city with absolutely zero demand for commercial or industry work.
I was basically building Florida.
