Joey B's sophomore season at LSU was pretty good. :)
I know it doesn't count

As good as Jamar is i thought Jefferson was just as good this year even tho Jefferson was not a sophomore.

Fournette, Mathieu, Chase.

People always forget that Marshall was the leading TD catcher on the team before the injury. Imagine if he wouldn’t have gotten hurt against fricking Vanderbilt.
People also forget that Chase was suspended for a game last yr.

LF was stymied by Alabama because all Miles did was give him the ball and run him into a brick wall for 4 consecutive quarters.

Well LSU still put up over 30 offensive points on Oregon considering TM7 didn’t play on offense. The offense still averaged over 40 ppg and beat the majority of the sec teams they played that year by an average of almost 30 ppg. Yes TM7 was a huge part of that success but you are acting like there was nobody else worth mentioning on that team. Just about every defensive starter on that 2011 defense was 1st round talent. I truly believe LSU would have still went undefeated (with Jarrett lee at QB) if TM7 wouldn’t have been on that team because they were that good.

Love Chase, but has to be the Honey Badger. Fournette gets honorable mention. Delpit and Arden Key had outstanding sophomore years as well.

Yep. I think Marshall was the best WR on Th e team before the injury.

As great as LFs sophomore season was, he loses out to the other 2 because they helped lead LSU to SEC championships and an NC appearance and NC

Chase was absolutely brilliant in '19.

Chase had the best sophomore season at wide receiver ever in all of college football. To me he is already the best WR in LSU history. Josh Reed 2.0

We were in serious danger of losing at West Virginia without tyrann forcing turnovers and the Claiborne kick return. The offense was non existent against Arky and UGA until he put the team on his back with incredible punt returns and forced turnovers. Yes, that team was extremely talented, but they don't go undefeated without the badger.

Grant Delpit had a great sophomore season. He received a lot of awards last year but I know he was better his sophomore season.

Stingley's Soph season will be just as special.

I love Chase and what he did last year, but he had as much help as you can possibly have to obtain all the big stats. One of the best QB seasons in CFB history. A plethora of very capable receivers to take heat off him. A passing game coordinator who came in and made a name for himself in a single season (NFL OC).
Matthieu and Fournette were both pretty damn dominant players, one playing defense getting significantly less recognition (even as a Heisman finalist) and the other bullied defenses without even an average passing attack to take defenders out of the box.
Gimme a 3-way tie
