Watched this for the first time in like 15 years the other night and still a great heartwarming movie.

While watching I couldn't help but wonder if the movie was a pain in the arse to actually film? There are movies with all humans that are a shitshow during filming and I can't imagine relying on two dogs and a freaking cat listening to every command to get the movie done.

Am I overthinking this? Was it likely pretty easy to do?

If they could get three animals to act out a movie like that why even use CGI in that new Harrison Ford movie? Seems way lame to CGI shite when you can apparently have the real thing.

Ford is at the age where he would quit the movie if the dog required too many takes. It wouldn’t surprise me if he forced them to do it.

Homeward Bound was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I watched it a few months ago, surprisingly it still holds up really well. Very enjoyable movie to watch.

Probably the most watched movie in my house growing up. Damn good scenery too in Northern California,

I loved big balls Chance he was my boy. Couldn’t stand Sassy when she was too much of a bitch to cross the water and ended up goin over the falls.

When Shadow emerges after Peter said he was just too old... chills just thinking about it.

That's why I enjoy the movie as an adult.

Looks like there's a cat person in here doing some serial down-voting

If trained well, they do their job. Their faces dont rely on a lot of recognizable human trait, no dialog..may be surprisingly easy.
