What will Payton think of Brady at Carolina?

Showed him the ropes. Dude comes to LSU and delivers one amazing season. Now the Saints have to face him twice a year. Why couldn't he go to the AFC?
On the flip side, he will still be wildly popular if he goes out and about during his annual trip to New Orleans.

I’d imagine he’s happy for him. Saints didn’t offer him a job so not sure why there would be any kind of “thoughts” about the situation.

Putin took some jabs at him when he left so there should be some tension.

Why should he care? If I'm him I take whoever pays me the most money.

What jabs did Payton take at him?

Not jabs per se, but mentioned that he told Brady that leaving would be a mistake (there was an article posted about it here). He kind of added at the end "so what does he know?", meaning Brady obviously made the right decision regardless of what Payton thought. I don't think it was a jab, just Payton practicing the closest thing to humility that he knows.
Keep in mind, all coaches realize that when they hire strong talent that eventually their knowledge they impart to someone else might be used against them. It's just the business of coaching, and the good ones continue to evolve. I am more interested to see how Carolina evolves Payton's offense and if it outpaces Payton's schemes. I personally think it will. I've long thought that if Payton is going to continue to be successful he will eventually need to hand over the offensive reigns to someone else.

That dude was Payton's gopher. I doubt Payton is too worried. People give that dude too much credit especially considering he never called LSUs plays and found himself with a QB taking the next step.

He said something weird like Brady was the type of guy that could come up with a good piece of info every few games and just kinda downplayed him

yet you say Brees is greedy and has earned more money than he needs

It was Burrow. Panthers will suck again, just watch.

Brady just tried to interview the Saints asst OL coach. CSP shut that down based on it being an interview with a division rival. I don't think that he will be welcomed to the division with open arms.

Which was why I thought the NFL would wait another 1-2 years before knocking on his door. See how he transitions to the next QB, and how does he respond when coaches have an entire offseason to breakdown a full season of film.
As much as I would hate to see Burrow go to Carolina, I don't think it will matter who the QB is until they give them some weapons other than McCaffrey. And now they have to replace Kuechly.
