Wasn’t the USC 2003 claim to the title vacated because of Reggie Bush fiasco? It was his Freshman year there I believe.

AP designated So Cal as their NC. Both teams visited the White House at the same time. Bush 2 in W lite moment offered his WHAT Yard if the two teams wanted to settle it. While it was a joke I wonder how many players wished they would have had the equipment to go out and do just that.

Where is their crystal ball? Oh, right, we didn't share it.

When did they ever have a claim to be vacated? They didn't win it. We beat Choklahoma for the crystal ball. They won the rose bowl against a crappy Michigan team. They can fight with the goat wagon people over second place. We all know where the hardware ended up.

LSU brought home the BCS Trophy, USC went home empty-handed.

This! The way it reported on LSU's dramatic offensive evolution after 20 years stuck in one offense was noteworthy.

I gotta say that this whole season has been a dream, long time coming. We all deserve it.

We have been through the ringer as LSU fans, from all the ups and downs: the 90's to Saban and dominance, Saban leaving, Miles continuing the dominance until 2007, Miles coaching like the second coming of 1970's Bo Schembechler, getting blown out on 1/9/12 by our most bitter rival led by the coach who left us. All the bullshite that came from the media each time we played a title game (backing our way in, sharing it with USC, etc.)

This time around, LSU is just plain dominant. We have a dominant team led by a record breaking dominant Heisman qb. There are no asterisks, just plain kicking the shite out of everybody.

And as if all of that wasn't enough, the final two games we come full circle against Oklahoma (with a little revenge on Hurts) and then potentially Ohio State in New Orleans. And if it isn't Ohio State, it will be Clemson who we owe an arse kicking to after the last time we played them. And could potentially shut Dabo's mouth up about how they're so disrespected. Win/win all around.

It's crazy that Troy Smith had the previous most lopsided win because he had the worst national championship game I've ever seen.

That was a legit offense in the regular season that Florida shut down.

They were even good in 2005.

I'm more triggered by the L.S.U., but it's a good article.

In 2003 LSU won the BCS championship game but the AP voted USC as the #1 team. USC thus claimed a share of thentional championship.

If you wanna know why the "SEC SEC" chants became so prevalent, this was one of the reasons. There was actually a time when the national media didn't always see how much better football was down here than everywhere else.

Oh there's still a small percentage of that media that exists. It's the uppity midwestern wanna be blue blood yankee Big Ten segment who thinks name brand football is where it's at. And they think that the SEC is a bunch of southern bred hicks who are a joke and can't compete (regardless of our perfomance on the big stage and the number of professional athletes that come out our programs and dominate the NFL on Sundays). All you have to do is look at the bias that came out when seeding Ohio State and LSU a few weeks ago, coming from the playoff committee.

Clyde is LSU’s co-mvp, hard to imagine an undefeated season without Clyde.
