Voodoo is meh at best. I've had worse, but it's nothing I look forward to.

I no longer care for it. They used to serve a great fried bird, but no longer do so —- or at least when I last went about theee weeks ago.

But if I am ordering fried chicken at a BBQ restaurant, that in itself, indicates to me that the thing their supposed to be known for, isn’t that good as all.

Have they made it five years yet? Seems like they’re not new but I don’t think they’ve been in that location for a long time either.

No, don’t think so, I would estimate they have been open in Prairieville for three to four years, tops.

Someone who posts on here may know.

I see what you’re saying from a gourmet’s standpoint. But for a college campus, sure it’s serviceable/decent.

It really wasn't. It was expensive and shitty. Food took forever to come out and was always cold, bland, and had the texture of shoe leather. I am utterly flabbergasted they lasted as long as they did. Voodoo BBQ is straight up garbage, and they should be ashamed to be serving that slop to paying customers. In a town full of bad bbq, they were easily the worst.

I liked some of the food, but they've had freaking plastic wrapping cooked inside of my food three times since opening earlier this year (Government location). Once in the pot roast, once in the brisket fries, once in the bread pudding.

Three strikes, I'm done with the place.

Probably not the best BBQ, but definitely decent enough for a college campus.

It's dog shite. It's about as bad as Dickey's, which is the McDonald's of BBQ and I never eat there it's gross.

I remember voodoo opened while I was a student. Tried it once, never went back.

- Voodoo was mediocre at every location I went to
- Podnuh's was always pretty good
- Cou-yons had a weird smell

I remember when everyone was going ape shite over Pimanyoli's but I always thought they really sucked. Food was cold the three times I ate there and it took forever to get our food even with an empty restaurant.

Circa 2011

People raved about it (not so much on Tigerdroppings, but it did receive a fair amount of praise), so I went expecting some tasty BBQ but it was crappy all three times.
