My son took Hunter's Ed at his junior high two years ago. We just got into our first lease this year and plan to go deer hunting for the first time. I pulled his Hunter's Ed card and noticed the birthday is wrong. Will an incorrect birthday cause us any issues getting him deer tags or going hunting with me? Instead of 3/3/04 they have his birthday as 2/3/04. Thanks.

They don’t even ask for them when getting license anymore and I doubt a green jeans checking it in the field would have any issues with it. I haven’t pulled out my card in years.

Only time I ever needed to show a copy of my hunter ed card was with the lifetime license application. Never had anyone ask for it when I was buying regular licenses every year. Been stopped by green jeans on the way out of WMA's a few times and they never asked me for my hunter ed card either.

Call W&F and explain situation. They'll ask for basic documentation and send you a new card for free.
