Meeting with a client in Shreveport next week and we want to go to dinner downtown. What are the top 3-4 restaurants in downtown Shreveport where you can talk business?

There really aren't any restaurants like that in downtown Shreveport that I can think of.

Well then, I guess it's Dogtoberfest at Great Raft Brewing then! Thanks for the response.

It's really good. Pretty upscale, which I guess is good if you're bringing a client.

Do this for sure. Try and sit at the chefs table in the kitchen. It’s pricey but you’ll get a completely custom meal with a drink between each of the 5 courses.

Abby Singer Bistro
Parish Tacaeux
The Missing Link
Noble Savage

None of these places are upscale but all have good food and atmosphere. Also good drinks.

Also all in actual downtown.

Is Ernest’s still open? It’s only 1/2 mile north of downtown.

Lucky Palace is amazing if you wanted to venture just outside of downtown.

Mabry House is great, but it’s pretty fancy. More of a date night place, IMO. It’s also just outside of downtown.

Ernest’s is still open. Haven’t been there in a long time, but it’s hard to beat. We always have a better time when sitting in the bar room.

Actually in downtown: Abby Singer’s, Blind Tiger, Nobel Savage.

Bring them back in early 2020 after the distillery and The Revenir open up.

Ernest’s would be easier to talk business than Mabry House.

The Cub isn’t far from downtown if you want to step out a little...

I’d see if someone in your company is a member at the Shreveport Club.

University Club used to be the best place or the Petroleum Club. They would make accommodations for non-members if you asked nicely and dressed in business attire.

University Club closed many years ago. Petroleum and Shreveport Clubs are nice members only places if you have a connection. Shreveport is the nicer of the two.

If you go to Mabry, make a reservation.

Went to Mabry House. Interesting old house. Food was not great but it was good enough. Had chimichuri steak and client had a mahi filet that was a bit over breaded. Artichoke soup was excellent. Candle was a nice touch, adding a warm glow to our business discussions, lol. Client liked the place. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Also swung by Great Raft and loaded up on beer to transport home.
