Help is on the way to the Defense

Big Boy Sheldon Rankins gonna make his return soon....like a shot in the arm..this team gonna be even more dangerous

Rankins and Onyemata returning will get us back to a top 5 defense.

Which is why I bring cautious about our really bad run defense. 3 guys in the rotation didn't play Monday.

Its all connected. The DBs will play better knowing that they don't have to worry about running backs breaking through the line and running free as much.

Funny how people questioned how good Rankins actually was last year and now that he's out, our top 3 run defense looked like 2015 again.

Onyemata will help a lot but we won’t be stuffing the run until Rankins comes back. He’s really underrated.

That's the good news. The bad news is somebody else is likely to go down before getting those 3 back. That's just the nature of the NFL. Nobody is every 100% full strength with all their projected starters.

It is indeed. Getting consistent push up the middle, along with edge pressure and decent coverage downfield, makes this a potential top 10 defense later in the season.
