I think if Henson were still alive he would appreciate the movie but would probably have wanted them to CGI the Gefflings at least enough so they could emote with their faces. They all look like they've been visiting Joan Rivers' plastic surgeon.

I’m old enough to have seen the original Dark Crystal in the theater, but this looks awful. Their lips barely move when they talk, I don’t remember it looking this bad. The over emotive voice acting coming from a frozen-mask face does not work for me

I don't know why, but movies like this and Labyrinth are the stuff of nightmares for me. Puppets give me the creeps.
