As much hype as this game has gotten, I’m extremely disappointed. I’m having a very hard time getting used to the gameplay and story line. It makes me want to go back and play dying light for the 100th time. Dying light came out years ago and is 100
Times better than this crap.

Never tried Dying Light. What makes it so good?

Agreed on the Dying light comment. It's great because for a couple reasons for me. Game play is so smooth. The "combos" are easy for an old guy like me can even use them. The coop is perfect I played it over and over again with my kids. And the story is actually very good.

I've never been interested in parkour style games but the parkour hopping about and climbing work great. Once you get the grappling hook you are essentially spiderman.

If you like survival / crafting you will like Dying Light. Fun open world with a decent enough story.

The only downside to the game is the final crappy boss fight. But that is 5 minutes of a 30 hour game. And you ccan spend more or less time. I like hunting / gathering / crafting so I probably spent more time than necessary to finish the story.

I'll eventually try Days Gone but the reviews haven't been stellar.

Any game that gets stuck in years of production always makes me a little wary. Will still probably pick it up on sale at some point

Controls on Days Gone are miserable. Seriously loses me in terms of immersion. Extremely frustrating gun play mechanics.

Sad because I had high hopes for this game, but the reviews and backlash have led me to not even purchasing this. Went ahead and bought RE2 to get my horror fix in.

Finished this game. Pretty solid. Technical issues, especially in the last part of the map you unlock. It’s like Horizon Zero Dawn and TLOU had a drunken one night stand.

Locating hordes and taking them down is titty sprinkles.

Went back and made myself play it, and I really did enjoy the game. Beginning is damn difficult because the guns themselves suck. Taking 5 shots to kill one zombie is awful, but as you progress and upgrade the game is a ton of fun.

I’m just finishing up a run through the new Survival difficulty. Way more fun and immersive. Drives me nuts that devs don’t put all the difficulties in at release.

The no-HUD mode makes this a much more challenging game and it’s way easier just to lose yourself in the world instead of following guide markers on the mini-map. Still has a lot of technical issues. It’s basically like a less buggy Bethesda game.

I just started and I'm enjoying it so far. It's getting easier the more I play. Only took me one run through to clean out a camp with 15 hunters in it. Have to wipe out some nests next. How can a bike barely go a kilometer before running out of gas?

Game is getting really good. Action is easier and the story is picking up. Almost topped out and fighting hordes. Probably have a good third of the game left. But its hard to put down right now..

I watched some streaming on this one and the guy didn't like the game for about the first 8 hours but by the end of the game he loved it. I think the game mechanics are a bit wonky and the game moves a little too slowly at the start.

Seems like once the story branched out and he got used to the mechanics, he really liked the game.

I'll get to it eventually when on sale.

Does it have a good story? I was hyped for this game but when the reviews came out i backed off and have been waiting.

Its ok, but kind of depressing. The world is huge and lots of side stories. Right now I'm not sure what the point or outcome is going to be, so might be too early for me to say..
