Anyone watch Lucifer? I never watched it on Fox but now it's on Netflix with a new season and one of their most popular shows right now. I'm enjoying it and binged the first two seasons over the last few days.

I read that they already renewed it for one final season, but maybe it will keep going. Glad that Netflix is willing to pickup TV shows that get cancelled like this and Designated Survivor.

Gonna be difficult to move too much forward after season 4.

Yeah, maybe they should have ended it with the season 4 finale.

I just got through bingeing it, solid show. I had watched a couple of episodes when it was broadcast but it just wasn't enough to keep me coming back.

To me it seems to flow much better as a binged series than it did as a broadcast one. The Netflix season surprisingly did not stray away from the line of what was allowed to be shown (nudity wise) and upped the ante on solid effects (especially at the end). I'm not sure how they will bring it back after S4's ending but am glad it will have a final season.

I haven't read anything about a fifth season being the final one. Netflix could milk it for a bit. It's a hit for them.

I would think a fifth season is a given. Anything outside that is just speculation.

I've started season 1 on Netflix, but I already see from the first response in this thread that I dare not read any further.

If they keep introducing new characters from the Bible, it could go on for a while. We've already met God's ex-wife, Cain, and Eve. I imagine that Adam and/or maybe Lilith can't be far behind, maybe even Jesus.

I would love to see Jesus on this show. Jesus and Lucifer putting aside their differences to solve crimes could make for some very funny episodes. It'd basically be a live action version of:

No doubt that would be awesome. Sadly, you'd have some religious wackadoos protest at the idea of Lucifer and Jesus getting along, despite the fact that the show has already established that they are brothers and at one time were very close.

I work with a lady who refuses to watch the show because she can't stand the idea of the devil being presented in a positive light. She thinks the show's mythology of making Lucifer God's youngest son and his being cast out of Heaven as an act of mercy on God's part, rather than punishment for attempting to seize God's throne.

I watched it as it happened.

Seasons 1 and 2 were really enjoyable. Then season 3 happened and it's as if the writers/showrunner got some bad drugs.

Four episodes from season 2 were inserted in season 3. Some of this was because the demon was pregnant in real life and they didn't want to film around her and by inserting non-sequiter episodes they thought the audience wouldn't notice.
Then at the end of season 3, they did a sort of wrapup because they had no guarantee that they'd be picked up by another network.

I've put off watching 4-saving it for a binge. Take Season 3 as an off year- some good things, but not enough.

Still worth your time, but you may join me in wishing that some of the unresolved things from early on would be resolved because some of those characters were great.

Season 4 was excellent. Definitely no drop off in quality what-so-ever.

I finished season 4 last night. It was a good ride and I can definitely see the potential for things to continue.
